Plein Air at the Castle

This was painted at Castle Mauroette in France. The red slate roof stucco building was once a stable and is now the retreat center's dining room, kitchen, and lodging. I loved the red vines that grew on the house so I sat down with my easel and painted it several hours one October afternoon.
